I have been a Hibermate customer for years. I always loved the way the mask is shaped and how it blocks out the light. However, on the first Gen model, I did not use the ear muff because they were flat and they did not block put the noise well and were uncomfortable. Gen 6.5 solved this issue The ear muffs have comfortable recessed cups which block out a lot of noise.

Delivery
Hi, i was going to contact you myself, but i still didn’t receive my delivery and im getting concerned. When i tracked my package 1 week ago, it showed that the package was going to arrive the next day. Its been more than a week and still no update. Its just so unclear and unorganized from my perspective, and i spent alot of money on just one product.

Small acclimation period, then it makes a big difference!
I purchased these for two reasons:
1) I was looking for over-the-ear noise reduction as I have small ear canals and must avoid ear buds to prevent wax build up.
2) I’ve never tried a sleep mask but wanted to give it a go to achieve complete darkness (I work graveyards and still have slivers of light from doors/windows as well as random LED lights on various devices in my room)
I was skeptical at first with the concept of sleeping on my side with an ear muff on. I’ve also never worn a sleep mask before. When I first tried on the mask, I thought “No way I can do this,” but I knew there had to be a learning curve. I powered though the first couple nights and now I feel comfortable throwing them on as needed. I probably wear them about 40% of the time, usually when I know there might be increased roommate activity in the house.
Ear muffs: I enjoy the hard shell design as It doesn’t press on my actual ear. They surprisingly press into the pillow without issue. I haven’t been able to sleep with my arm under my head (under my pillow) but so far haven’t need to as the muff provides that support. I make small head adjustment to get my neck alignment right then its all good. The sound buffering most definitely reduces noise but I have no problem hearing my alarm or listen to a sleep podcast that I just turn up about 2 more notches on the phone.
Face mask: There is a nice brow padding and the material is cool to the touch. The pressure points are above the brow and on the nose which is great.
The unit as a whole: Easily adjustable and very easy to slip on and off. I enjoy having this on my bedside table ready to throw on if I want an additional edge to combat outside sensory stimulation.
It’s very apparent the folks at Hibermate care about optimizing this product and I appreciate all the hard work as there aren’t many options for over-the-ear sleep muffs.
